Race numbers are to be pinned to the front of your running shirt.

Half Marathon - 21km

Starting at Nga Puna Wai, you will spread out around the one and a half laps of the athletics track before running out to the motorway pathways.

Once on the Motorway pathways the run will head south on the Motorway Pathways "it is anticipated that the Southern Motorway will be completed in February and will allow the Half Marathon to be an out and back run" The final route will be advised once the Southern Motorway is opened in February, if not completed in February the run may be the same at 2019.

There will be 1km markers throughout the event for the Half Marathon.

10km

The 10km runners will start at the same time as the Half Marathon runners and will run out through the underpass and continue toward Carrs Basin.  When the 10km runners reach the 5km marker, they turn and return to the Finish at Nga Puna Wai.

Walkers/Hybrid

Walkers and Hybrid competitors will start 5 minutes after the runners start.  We ask all runners during the event to let walkers know if they’re coming up on them.  Walkers, please be aware of runners coming up on you throughout the event.

Hybrid competitors can run and walk when they like, although we ask that competitors don't run the full distance as this isn't in the spirit of the category.
